Waitress Film to Stream in UK Cinemas

Waitress the Musical is set to hit UK cinemas on June 20th this year.


Having been filmed on Broadway in 2021, the show will star singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles who composed the show based on the 2007 film. Also appearing in the recorded production will be Eric Anderson as Cal, Charity Angél Dawson as Becky, Christopher Fitzgerald as Ogie, Drew Gehling as Dr Pomatter, Caitlin Houlahan as Dawn, Dakin Matthews as Joe, and Joe Tippett as Earl.


Waitress the Musical, which was directed by Tony Winner Diane Paulus and choreographed by Lorin Latarro, ran in London's West End from 2019 but closed early due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. It starred Katherine McPhee (Smash), Lucie Jones (Wicked), Desi Oakley (Waitress US Tour), and Sara Bareilles who all played the role of Jenna within the 12 months that the show was open.
