Based on CS Lewis' novel, Michael Fentiman's production of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is set to tour the UK later this year.

Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter step through the wardrobe into an exciting world where the wonderous kingdom of Narnia awaits. Where animals can talk and magic reigns, the four must overcome dangerous foes to learn the lessons of courage, sacrifice, and the power of love.

Originally performed at Leed's Playhouse, before running at London's Bridge Theatre (Guys and Dolls) and later the West End's Gillian Lynne Theatre (Standing at the Sky's Edge). The show will now embark on a UK Tour, opening again at Leeds Playhouse on 18th December 2024 before heading around the UK in 2025.

Fentiman said: “I’m delighted to be taking our beautiful production of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe on a major tour of the UK and Ireland in 2025. The production celebrates the magic of live theatre and is led by a multi-talented cast of actors, singers, musicians, dancers and puppeteers; it is a celebration of the possibilities of the collective imagination and the boundless wonders of individual skill.”

Joining Fentiman as Puppetry director is Toby Olié, with puppetry designed by Max Humphries. The actor-musicians will perform music composed by Barnaby Race and Benji Bower, with choreography by Shannelle ‘Tali’ Fergus. Other creatives include casting director Will Burton, illusionist Chris Fisher, aerial director Gwen Hales, lighting designer Jack Knowles, sound designer Tom Marshall, costume designer Tom Paris, and wigs, hair and make-up designer Susanna Peretz.

The show, which previously starred Samantha Womack as The White Witch, is yet to announce casting. Tickets can be found here.
