Stuck: The First Draft, a new musical starring David Hunter

David Hunter - star of The Time Traveller's Wife, Waitress, and Kinky Boots - will write and star in his own new workshop musical Stuck.

Stuck tells the story of Jason, a full-time parent, who struggles between his duties of being a father and reminiscing of his glory days performing in a band. His life reaches it's peak as he is forced to do whatever he can to reunite his family.

Directed by Dean Johnson (LIFT, First Date, Spring Awakening) with Musical Direction by Adam Hoskins (Carousel, Diana, Dr Zhivago), the workshop will not be the first time the three have worked together. In 2023, the team took musical concert Once to Tokyo, having previously been staged by Johnson and Hoskins at the West End's London Palladium.

Stuck is also not Hunter's first venture into the world of writing, having created musical short The Space Between in 2020, at the height of the Lockdowns, with cowriter Caroline Kay.

Stuck will be presented at London's Duchess Theatre (home to The Play That Goes Wrong) on the 2nd of December. Further casting is yet to be announced.
