To celebrate the 9th birthday of Manchester's Hope Mill Theatre, a special concert of Nine the Musical starring Ramin Karimloo is to be hosted next year.
Set to be performed at Manchester's Lowry Theatre, in Salford, Karimloo will star as Guido Contini. Currently performing in A Face in the Crowd at London's Young Vic Theatre, Karimloo is no stranger to the recent trend of 'concert' musicals, having soon to lead Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and previously Dr Zhivago in Concert.
Co-directed by The Hope Mill Theatre’s Joseph Houston and William Whelton, Nine the Musical is based on the Oscar Winning Italian film 8½ and follows movie director Guido as he relies on all the women in his life to overcome his creative block before it spirals into a midlife crises.
With music written by Maury Yeston (Titanic, Grand Hotel), this concert production will be staged on 1st and 2nd of February 2025. Further casting and ticket details to be announced soon.
