Lucie Jones To Lead 13 Going On 30 Musical

The previously announced world premiere of new musical adaptation 13 Going on 30 has today revealed Lucie Jones as their leading cast member.

Lucie Jones - whose seemingly endless theatre credits include Les Misérables, Wicked, Waitress, Legally Blonde, and most recently The Baker's Wife - will star as Jenna in this brand new production.

Jones also portrayed the role in the workshop production in late 2023, alongside Jamie Muscato (Heathers) and Grace Mouat (Mean Girls). The workshop was directed by Andy Fickman (Heathers) who will direct the fully staged production.

13 Going On 30 is on the 2004 romcom starring Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo. Jenna is a 13 year old girl who wishes, more than anything, to skip through her high school years only to wake up and find herself living 17 years in the future as a 30 year old magazine editor.

The musical is to be adapted by original screenwriters Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa with music and lyrics by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner (First Date, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) and will open at Manchester Opera House on 21 September 2025.

Full casting and creative team is yet to be revealed. Tickets go on sale tomorrow!
