The record-breaking award-winning production of Cabaret has announced new lead cast members.


Since the show opened in May 2021, Cabaret tickets have remained the hottest tickets in town. The production won 7 Olivier Awards at the ceremony in 2022, setting a record for being the most award-winning revival in Olivier history. It was also the first production to win in all 4 eligible acting categories, winning ‘Best Actor’, ‘Best Actress’, ‘Best Supporting Actor’ and ‘Best Supporting Actress’.


From 3 June 2024 the show is set to star Rhea Norwood as Sally Bowles and Layton Williams as the Emcee. They are taking over from current cast members Cara Delevingne (as Sally Bowles), Luke Treadaway (as the Emcee).


Rhea Norwood who is best known for her role as Imogen Heaney in the Netflix series Heartstopper will be making her professional stage debut in the musical.


Layton Williams is no stranger to the stage and his credits include Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Rent, Hairspray, Kiss Me, Kate and Billy Elliot. His TV credits include Bad Education, Rocketman, Benidorm and he most recently competed in Strictly Come Dancing.


Further casting includes Sally Ann Triplett (Roald Dahl’s The Witches, Oklahoma!) as Fraulein Schneiderand Fenton Gray (Cats, Blood Brothers) as Herr Schultz.


Continuing in the production will be Michael Ahomka-Lindsay (as Cliff Bradshaw), Wilf Scolding (as Ernst Ludwig), Jessica Kirton (as Fraulein Kost/Fritzie), Liv Alexander (as Texas), Natalie Chua (as Frenchie), Laura Delany (as Rosie), Taite-Elliot Drew (as Hans), Damon Gould (as Victor), El Haq Latief (as Helga), Grant Neal (as Herman/Max), Hicaro Nicolai (as Lulu) and Travis Ross (as Bobby), alongside Rebecca Lisewski, Ela Lisondra, Nic Myers, Andy Rees, Toby Turpin and Patrick Wilden. Myers also plays the role of Sally Bowles once a week.


The prologue company, entertaining audiences before the show begins, includes Rachel Benson, Ami Benton, Onyemachi Ejimofor, Joseph Hardy, Liz Kamille, Andrew Linnie, Aine McLoughlin, Jack William Parry, Jazmyn Raikes, Oliver Stockley and Ena Yamaguchi.


A Broadway production of the show is currently playing in New York starring Eddie Redmayne and Gayle Rankin.


Norwood and Williams are scheduled to remain with the production until 21 September 2024. Cabaret is currently playing at the Kit Kat Club (Playhouse Theatre).
