Old Vic Production of Just For One Day - The Live Aid Musical

Just For One Day - The Live Aid Musical is set to transfer to London's Shaftesbury Theatre.


Directed by Luke Shepperd (& Juliet, Starlight Express), Just For One Day was originally staged at London's Old Vic theatre in 2023. It is based on the 1985 Live Aid concert, featuring music by Queen, Elton John, and Diana Ross among many many more, and invites you to "relive the day music brought the world together".


The original run saw stars such as Julie Atherton (The Grinning Man, Avenue Q), Ashley Campbell (Company, Old Friends, RSC), Olly Dobson (Back to the Future), Craige Els (Matilda), Jo Foster (& Juliet, Why Am I So Single), Joel Montague (Hamilton), Jack Shalloo (Groundhog Day), Danielle Steers (Six, The Cher Show) with many other West End stars. Els is set to reprise his role although no further casting has been announced.


The creatives joining Shepperd will be Matthew Brind (musical supervisor), Stuart Burt (casting director), Fay Fullerton (costume designer), Soutra Gilmour (set designer), Andrzej Goulding (video and animation designer), Howard Hudson (lighting designer), Ebony Molina (choreographer), and Gareth Owen (sound designer).


Opening 15th May 2025, Just For One Day - The Live Aid Musical will run at the Shaftesbury Theatre until 10 January 2026. Tickets can be booked here.
