Jason Donovan to Star in Rocky Horror Show

The Rocky Horror Show is coming the West End later this year for 2 weeks only in the middle of its UK tour and will star theatre legend Jason Donovan.
Jason Donovan is a West End veteran with credits including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Priscilla Queen of the Desert and most recently most recently Grease also at the Dominion Theatre.
He is set to star as Dr Frank ‘n’ Furter in the production, a role he also played in Sydney in 2023. Further casting for the show is yet to be announced.
Donovan stated “I am thrilled to dive into the exhilarating role of Frank ‘n’ Furter with a fantastic new cast and Timewarp with audiences throughout the UK. We promise to deliver the freshest Rocky EVER, that audiences will not forget. So, buckle up, as the show promises to be a wild and wicked ride!”
The Rocky Horror Show is a cult classic that first premiered in London at the Royal Court Theatre. Since then various international productions of the musical have spanned across the globe as well as West End and Broadway revivals and 8 UK tours. The musical was also adapted into the 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
The musical includes an array of iconic show tunes including Sweet Transvestite, Dammit Janet and The Time Warp.
The Rocky Horror Show will run at the Dominion Theatre from 6 to 20 September 2024.
