The award-winning West End production of Cabaret is saying Willkommen to new lead casting today. From 29 May 2025 Bridgerton star Hannah Dodd will take over as Sally Bowles and West End icon Rob Madge will take on the role of The Emcee.


They take over from current stars of the show Marisha Wallace and Billy Porter respectively. The pair will play their final performance on 24 May 2025. Dodd and Madge are scheduled to perform in the show until 20 September 2025.


Hannah Dodd is an English actress and model who began her career as a trained dancer. She then when on to star in the Hulu series Find Me in Paris before landing the role of Francesca in the Netflix period drama Bridgerton in 2024.


Rob Madge is no stranger to the West End stage as he appeared in many West End musicals as a child actor. He even starred as Gavroche in Les Misérables for the 25th Anniversary Concert. He is probably best known for writing and starring in the autobiographical solo show My Son's A Queer (But What Can You Do?) which enjoyed its own West End run.


Cabaret broke records when it won 7 Olivier Awards in 2022. The revival is directed by Rebecca Frecknall and is now also playing on Broadway at the Kit Kat Club at the August Wilson Theatre.


The musical features an iconic score, with music by John Kander, lyrics y Fred Ebb, and a book by Joe Masteroff. It is based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood. Songs from the legendary musical include Maybe This Time, Mein Herr, Willkommen and of course the title number, Cabaret.


The current cast of Cabaret also includes Daniel Bowerbank as Clifford Bradshaw, Fenton Gray as Herr Schultz, Fred Haig as Ernst Ludwig and Jessica Kirton as Fraulein Kost/Fritzie.

The cast is completed by Xenoa Campbell-Ledgister, Sam Darius, Damon Gould, Adrian Grove, El Haq Latief, Justin-Lee Jones, Ela Lisondra, Hícaro Nicolai, Andy Rees, Alexandra Regan, Marina Tavolieri, Ben Simon Wilson, Anne-Marie Wojna, Patrick Wilden and Lucy Young.


The prologue company are James Hastings, Dak Mashava, Nethra Menon, Oluwatosin Omotosho, Kristin Wei Wong, Rachel Benson, Ami Benton, Joseph Hardy, Andrew Linnie, Jack William Parry and Jazmyn Raikes.


Cabaret is currently playing at the Kit Kat Club at London's Playhouse Theatre and is booking until March 2026.
