Following its hugely successful run at the National Theatre in 2018 and after winning 8 Tony Awards for the Broadway production, Hadestown opened in the West End in February this year. New lead casting for the West End production has just been announced.

Inspired by the Greek myth, Hadestown takes audiences on a journey to the Underworld set alongside an enchanting musical score. Written by Anais Mitchell and directed by Rachel Chavkin, the musical is currently playing at the Lyric Theatre.

The current stars of the show Dónal Finn who plays Orpheus and Grace Hodgett-Young who plays Eurydice will exit the show on 25 August 2024. They have played the roles since the show opened earlier this year.

Stepping into their roles is Dylan Woods who will be making his West End debut as Orpheus and Madeline Charlemagne who will take on the role of Eurydice. Madeline has been playing a Fate since the show first opened. Francessca Daniella-Baker will replace Charlemagne as one of the three fates. They will all play their first performance on 27 August 2024.

Hadestown is currently playing at the Lyric Theatre and is booking until December 2024.
