The previously announced West End production of Elektra starring Brie Larson has today released further casting.

Joining Larson, who takes on the classic title role, will be Stockard Channing (Apologia), Marième Diouf (King Lear), Greg Hicks (Oklahoma!), and Patrick Vaill (Stranger Things: The First Shadow). The full cast is yet to be announced.

The production will be directed by Daniel Fish (Oklahoma!) and is a modern retelling of Sophocles' Greek tragedy. When her farther is wrongfully murdered, Elektra takes it upon herself to save her family.

On starring in Elektra, Larson said: "I couldn’t be more excited to perform in this Greek drama, or in better company collaborating with Daniel Fish and Anne Carson. Storytelling has always been the way I organize life, feelings and experiences. I look forward to sharing space with the wonderful West End audience while we explore this timeless story."

Elektra opens at the Duke of York Theatre on 24th January 2025, set to run until 12th April 2025. Tickets can be purchased here.
