Burlesque Announces More Cast

Burlesque the Musical, based on the 2010 hit film starring Christina Aguilera, will grace the Manchester stage this summer.
In an announcement made earlier this year, the musical is set to be adapted by book writer Steven Antin, with additional material by Kate Wetherhead (The Devil Wears Prada). It will feature songs by Christina Aguilera, Sia and Diane Warren as well as additional music by Jess Folley and Todrick Hall who are both set to star in the production.
Folley takes on the role of Ali Rose (originally played by Christina Aguilera) with Hall playing Sean. They will be joined by Jade Albertsen (swing), Nina Ann Nelson as Nikki and alternate Ali, Joe Atkinson (swing), Callum Aylott (swing), Evonnee Bentley-Holder (ensemble), Lucy Campbell (swing), Lewis Easter (ensemble), Yasmin Harrison as Brenda/dance captain, Billie-Kay as Sophia, Elly Jay (swing), Stefan Lagoulis (ensemble), Hollie-Ann Lowe as Summer, Alessia McDermott (ensemble), Callum MacDonald (ensemble), George Maguire as Vince, Michael Mather as Jackson, Tom Mussell (ensemble), Amber Pierson (swing), OpeSowande as Trey, Ian Oswald (ensemble), Jess Qualter as Daphne, Tom Scanlon (ensemble), B Terry as Georgie and Lily Wang as Fifi. Full casting is yet to be announced.
Burlesque is set to begin previews at the Manchester Opera House from 13th to 29th June 2024, before opening at the Glasgow Theatre Royal from 11th to 28th September 2024. It will then return to Manchester later in the year before opening in the West End.
