About the Show

Get ready to defy gravity as Wicked the Musical becomes the 10th longest running show in London's West End.

As Elphaba and her sister Nessarose enroll at Shiz University, Elphaba's magical powers quickly become the talk of Oz and she is very quickly on her way to meet the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, with roommate and loathed companion Glinda. However, all may not be as it seems behind the emerald curtain and, as the animal population of Oz begins to lose it's voice, Elphaba wants to make a stand and use her powers for good. This is, of course, easier said than done and as she faces the death of her sister, we quickly learn how she becomes the Wicked Witch of the West.

Including songs such as 'Popular', 'I'm Not That Girl', and 'Defying Gravity', Wicked tells the untold story of Oz - this is what happened before Dorothy dropped in.

With a book by Winnie Holzman and score by Stephen Schwartz, Wicked has won over 100 international awards, as well as being nominated for the Tony Award for Best New Musical.
