After growing up in a family that doesn't care for her, and having to go to a school where all 'children are maggots', Matilda Wormwood is destined to change the world, in the best way she knows how. After befriending her teacher Miss Honey and finding her own magic powers, Matilda will stand up to any bully and always come out on top because 'This Little Girl' is a 'Miracle'.
With a book by Dennis Kelly and award winning score by Tim Minchin, Matilda holds the joint record for most Olivier Awards of a musical. Produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company, Matilda the Musical will take you back to school and help you grow up all over again.

Having only recently seen the film, which I didn't love, I was expecting not to enjoy this too much but my little ones insisted on going. Oh my was I wrong. It's clear this was written for the stage because everything about it was so good, and it made me realise that not every musical should be turned into a film. It was funny, the songs were great and there were some that aren't in the film, I loved the stage and all the dancing. Even if you didn't like the film I'd say go go go to this!!
